Indiana 2025 |
Dear contestants, this year 2024 we ended the 27th year tradition of the Indiana Grand Prix competition. To this decision we, the organizing team several circumstances led. The first and most fundamental one is the insufficient participation of competitors, which rather decreases than increases over time. Other circumstances are financial. The preparation of the competition takes many days in the peak tourist season and, together with the valuable prizes, costs a lot of money. In short, for such a small number of competitors, the time and financial investment devoted in this way does not pay off. This can certainly be attributed to the countless number of throwing competitions that take place in our country and in various parts of Europe. We also notice a declining public interest in throwing and whipping competitions, which leads to thinking about what needs to change. Next year, Indiana will take place on a different date, namely 17.5. 2024. Indiana will be conceived in a different spirit, it will not be a competition in the true sense of the word, it will be primarily an international meeting of whippersnappers with a different, engaging program. We're pretty clear on how to move Indiana forward in terms of the whip, but we're still figuring out how to handle the throwing competition. Personally, we no longer want to get involved in the preparations for the throwing competition. In Bič, we cooperate with Martin Štulla and the Keltoviny association, together we create a program, including various motivations for the participants whippers and visitors. However, we have no time left for similar activities in the direction of the throwing competition. However, if there was someone from among the throwers who would has taken this competition under his wing as an organizer, we are certainly willing to help with securing targets and prizes for the competitors. Even so, the condition will be at least 20 competitors who register and pay the entry fee in advance. We are preparing the same conditions for future competitions in This is the only way to create a regular championship that deserves its name.
